Lung Cancer: A Death Sentence? NO WAY!



LUNG CANCER IS NOT A DEATH SENTENCE!
Well, that depends on how you see it.

Lung cancer can affect everyone in this world, so everyone has a responsibility to prevent it from happening in his or her life. Prevention is better than cure,however if one has tested positive of lung cancer, prevention of lung cancer may be too late, but death can still be evaded. What to do is to control the cancerous cells from spreading to whole of the body.



IF I WERE INFECTED BY LUNG CANCER,
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
First, consult a doctor, a good doctor, to help to deal with the disease.  To determine whether the doctor is the ideal one, do have the basic knowledge about the big C and give full cooperation to him.  Remember to ask about the cost of the treatment, effects and risks as well as what you should do after the treatment, provided if the doctor has reached the qualifications. Since there are many types of treatments for patients to choose, do take note to ask the doctor which treatment is more suitable for you.

Second, be positive and open-minded.  ‘Lung cancer is vital’ has been a devastating statement for every person in this world; some may think it is the destiny to get infected while some may think it is the end of world. If the lung cancer is diagnosed in the earlier stage, there is a higher percentage for recovery But that doesn't mean that it is the end if the patient has reached STAGE IV. All he needs is a miracle, and miracles do happen! So, stay positive in every way, believe in yourself that you CAN be recovered and do whatever necessary to save your life.

Third, EXERCISE


Fourth, keep your loved ones and yourself away from bad environment and always alert to the surrounding. If you’re loved ones have been infected by lung cancer, besides sending them for treatment, it is your duty to keep them in a safe condition. For example, stay away from the hustle and bustle of city and factories. This is because the content in air around those areas contains a lot harmed gaseous and toxic substance that will slow the recovering progress.

Fifth, keep away bad habits that will haunt your life. And those include smoking.


WHAT IF MY FAMILY MEMBER GET IT?
Family members play an important role to control lung cancer.  When a person in the family is detected with lung cancer, he or she may experience depression and a strong sense of loss. During this period, he or she may become emotional and disappointed to everyone including himself.  Thus, be extra careful when assist him for recovery.

Here's a list of ways:
  • Discuss about his/her feelings
  • Be honest about his/her condition.
  • Maintain a day planner to track doctor appointments, therapy treatments and medications
  • Help your loved one prepare something that they are uncapable to do so.
  •  Face every problem together


JUST REMEMBER, IT AIN'T THE END! THERE'S ALWAYS HOPE.
