Foreword

In the 1900s, lung cancer was almost non-existent...

In 2011, lung cancer has ended more than 1 million lives all around the world...

This statistic alone has caused alarm throughout the world on the effects of lung cancer. In fact, there are more unaccounted lives lost to this merciless disease. It has now become a must to educate oneself on lung cancer and to try to prevent it.

What's lung cancer? It simply happens when the cells in the lung tissues divide uncontrollably and cause damage. Here's a video that will get you started:

In an effort to spread knowledge on lung cancer, 6 students pursuing Biology in the Cambridge A-Levels have put in their utmost effort to create this blog. Many hours have been used for the research and compilation of this blog in the hope that it will benefit as many people as possible.  

So, whether you are a survivor or simply one who is curious and wants to know more about lung cancer, do read on for the benefit of yourself and the people around you!
